David Hasselhoff’s Knight Rider car & Baywatch gear rakes in over $200K for charity

Don't hassle the Hoff, but do buy a bunch of his stuff when he auctions it for charity. That's exactly what people did last month at 2014 Hollywood Legends auction in Beverly Hills, CA. The big ticket item was a custom replica of his "Knight Rider" car, "KITT," bringing in $152,600.

The car, a 1986 Pontiac Trans Am, was a 60th birthday gift to the Hoff from its designer, Jennifer Catano. Just like the car in the show, this KITT replica has a W-shaped steering wheel, a crazy dashboard, and over 4,000 sound effects.

While KITT brought in the big bucks, it wasn't the only totally awesome Hasselhoff memorabilia offered in the lot. How about $640 for a signed Baywatch rescue can or $4,160 for a Baywatch pinball machine?

The sale of KITT and the other Hasselhoff items benefited the Starlight Children's Foundation. Starlight Children's Foundation partners with experts to improve the life and health of kids and families around the world. To get involved with this worthy cause visit
